The Kuhn-Hicks laboratory are using metal-tagged antibodies to map the proteins expressed on cancer cells circulating in the blood and in the bone marrow from a prostate cancer patient.  The study, published in January by Convergent Science Physical Oncology, describes the approach of using an imaging mass cytometer to quantitate and localize 35 different protein markers on rare circulating cancer cells detected by the laboratory’s HD-SCA assay platform.
